How to Set Up the Office Attribution Contact

In accordance with the NAR Section 18.2.12 mandate, brokers are now able to either designate a contact for their brokerage to be displayed on each listing or allow agents to choose their own on a listing-by-listing basis.

The listing attribution contact will be included in every IDX feed for external display.

What does this mean?

Each broker must update their choice regarding the office contact in their offices. Under the Input tab, select “Edit Existing Office.”

Then, enter your office code, which can be found in your Agent or Office record. Select “Modify.”

 

Select “Attribution Contact.”

 

From there, select the default attribution contact that you would prefer for your office. If you would like to allow agents to override your selection on their individual listings, select the box next to “Can Agent Override.” If not, leave this box unchecked. By default, this box is left unchecked.

 

Be sure to select a default attribution contact, even if you’re allowing agents to override that contact.

 

Finally, select “Submit Office.”

 

 

Your default selection will appear on listing input forms under the Agent/Office Info tab. If you have allowed your agents to override your selection, they will be able to type into the listing override field.
